In charge of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in case of Illicit Appropriation (the Committee is comprised of 22 States Parties) Prof.Carducci acted as mediator in bilateral intergovernmental negotiations within the Committee on legally complex and politically sensitive issues
He acted as mediator with regard to the Parthenon Marbles in the British Museum between the United Kingdom and the Greek Governments
